Butterfly Child

Synopsis: Alex, a 12-year-old child prodigy whose genius is stifled by his violent and paranoid father, Ben, an underground information broker with far-reaching connections in the criminal underworld, keeps a video journal of his mundane life. Unbeknownst to Alex, the camcorder he borrowed from Ben holds the key to solving his mother Rachel’s mysterious death. After a sudden, unprovoked outburst from Ben one evening when he found out about his son’s journal entries, Alex acted on his suspicion to investigate his father’s involvement in Rachel’s alleged suicide. But his investigation was soon interrupted by the appearance of the “Dark Man”, Ben’s shadowy business associate, who claims to have damning evidence that can destroy everything Ben has built.
